Stump Removal Matters for Your Deck or Fence Installation

Hey, good morning, this is Kevin with Stump Grinder Company, we're in Peachtree Corners, Georgia and we're helping a homeowner and a deck company install a new deck.

In today's project, we have a couple of holly stumps that are in the way of the new footprint where the stairs and the landing and the deck are going to go. So, we're here to remove the stumps so these guys can get to work.

Ok, so just a couple of thoughts on this project, you can see this deck is getting torn down and we have those holes, the landing and the stairs are going to come out, the deck is going to get wider, so for this job I'm going to make sure that I get rid of the entire stump so these guys, when they dig holes, put posts in the ground with concrete, there's nothing standing in their way.

Now it's time to remove the second stump. You can see the dirt starting to pile up. That's when I know I'm under the stump and it's fully removed. I also spent time digging out roots well beyond the stump to make sure this holly tree would not re-sprout.
