Since May 1998 Stump Grinder Company, LLC has been independently owned and operated by Kevin Grady. In early 2020, Kevin G. began the transition towards retirement by training Kevin Carnegie to take over the Stump Grinding Company business. Kevin G. has been committed to the satisfaction of his customers and the growth of Atlanta's small business community. Kevin C. looks to continue this tradition of putting the customer first and making sure they are happy with the service provided. You can expect the same level of service, attention to detail, and friendly conversation!
Prior to owning and operating Stump Grinder Company Kevin C. founded and operated multiple internet companies. For over 20 years I was behind a desk and computer screen developing an online business for sale marketplace and helping others build new businesses. People are often surprised by my decision but but this new venture allows me to get outside daily, meet new people, and be challenged by trying something new!
Safety is Our Top Priority
Safety and locating utilities are a priority when stump grinding. This focus includes you, your property, and your landscape. Prior to grinding we dig around stumps to remove anything that can get thrown like rocks or hidden objects. Next, we set up debris screens around the stump to contain chips or rocks that are below the surface. If necessary we will call Georgia 811 to schedule them to locate utilities. This is a free service offered by the utility industry. Stump grinding can be a dangerous job but following a process and taking your time will help eliminate the risk. Stump Grinder Company is fully insured and licensed (all paid in full), operating under OSHA guidelines.
